Natural Energy Boost Smoothie

Use superfoods such as wheatgrass to supplement a poor diet, stress or lack of sleep. Bike Radar, a website for avid bike riders, recently posted an article highlighting the importance of incorporating natural energy boosters into your diet.

"For true longterm vitality you can't do much better than green superfoods, a whole category of nutritional energisers". Wheatgrass is densely packed with vitamins, minerals, protein, chlorophyll and essential fats. So when your diet does not naturally incorporate nutrients - wheatgrass can provide the vitamins and minerals that help.

Here's a smoothie recipe that will provides an extra boost (Preparation time 5 minutes, serves 2):

- 1 tbsp Wheatgrass Powder
- 1 avocado
- 1 tbsp vanilla protein powder
- 2 cups fresh pineapple juice
- squeeze of honey to taste

Remove the flesh from the avocado and place with the rest of the ingredients in a liquidiser or blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and serve!
