Wheatgrass and Food for Thought
According to British researchers, food and changes in diet can have an immediate and lasting effect upon a person’s mental health and behavior. This happens because of the way it affects the structure and function of the brain. The Mental Health Foundation in the U.K. conducted a survey of nearly 2,000 adults aged 15 years and over, and studied how neurotransmitters affect the brain.
"Neurotransmitters in the brain are made from amino acids, many of which need to be from a diet. A lack of certain amino acids can lead to feelings of depression, apathy and leave a person feeling unmotivated and unable to relax," researchers reported. The good news is that a good diet can help!
