Wheatgrass is a 'Miracle Cure' for Ulcers
Once a sceptic, Dr. Reynolds is know a believer in the healing properties of wheatgrass. This Australian-based doctor visited Indian where he was involved in clinical trails to see how effective wheatgrass was at treating ulcers caused by leprosy.
In 1995, "on a whim", the doctor dressed an ulcer of a diabetic patient with wheatgrass. He was surprised when he returned the next day to see the whole wound had "completely disappeared". This was the first time he became aware of the healing properties of wheatgrass. The doctor then initiated a pilot study that included patients that had ulcers ranging as old as thirty years. "They’re all starting to heal ... the fact any of them is healing is amazing,” he said.
Dr. Reynolds believes wheatgrass could "have a huge impact on the lives of leprosy patients, who have been cured of the disease but still have the ulcers." He believes wheatgrass works because it stimulates cell growth.
